in framed pines
lies the   precision
    of my practice:
  writing by rote
  is   this time
    daguo dovetail

the tape runs
     i fill in the squares:
   horizontal before vertical
    i learn to stroke the page:
    yī xi àr i get up and
   ask whether this radical
     means   to grow

  on my way   back to the seat
the tape stops
  to the forward right
   and the nice japanese guy
      looks up cameras on ebay
   and right behind:
    a guy looking at cards
      vodka
      __oz.
     bartending   he says

and in here
the tape starts again
  and i take a break to
   write this down
  before getting back to work 。
