confessional poem

every backpack has a name
but birds don't have names
   because with names you play games
 a pigeon
   Herr Pigeon
  Dr. P
    Mr. Bird

truly
there's not much to tell
   today they dismantled the
     white crane and the
  smell of
   fresh cut wood
    beside steel penetrating concrete

        made me think
    strange thoughts
