an unfamiliar fear...

September 14, 2010

an unfamiliar fear
constricts the gut
lets out sighs
tempered  unknown

lines on the page
heroic kettle log
of good penmanship
worthless wares

the tenor of knowing
that when we were young
happy notes were
tied in hair

things were no different

where were you big brother
bright eyed  owl eyed
wise  beyond
all your years

when we excavated
the sun  throwing
back sodden earth
nothing changed

royal academies
bail out mark twain
piss on romulus

oh wait  i was him
