the detritus
comes from

paper
    cotton
         & foam

      steel
    & chrome
        at home


shot glasses
hawaiian shirts
swords & dresses

           beads
     necklaces
 bracelets

   gentle
   caresses
      of material goods


my new sweatshirt
fits alright &
my hat gives me wood

just as well
we're all complicit
here  in this

little
     tent
         city


it's just a pity
that the words
that were valuable

so  were on sale
and thus also
eventually had to go
