Exquisite Corpse II: Where the Sun Rises
This poem was co-written by Meg Fulton, Ashtyn Zack, Sophie, Mackenna Lavender, Austin Shouli, LB Gurdian, Mike, James Chumsa, yours truly, and Adam Hoverman during New Enterprises, New Clothes, the tenth and final queer poetry evening at my house.
Where the Sun Rises
Where the sun rises, everything has a season,
Caught again on strange winds, stranger this time.
The sun still sets and rises and, despite it all, I did not die.
I'm starting to think I should quit. As we lose the sunset,
I sit in the darkness, waiting for sunrise, abandoned no longer.
I'd rather hang out with Cigarette Bitch than Raver Barbie.
And even though he had to hop on one leg,
He eventually got there, safe and sound,
Forever into the luminous, numinous now.
