Debility Poems: After Frost II

With apologies to Robert Frost.

With gratitude, for Samantha

Sometimes I do forget that I’m
Scarce born for pain.
From what I’ve witnessed in my prime,
I hold with accidental crime.
But were I to be born again,
I think I’d know enough of heart
To say that, for my soul, deep yen
Is also art
That scars the brain.
